How billing works

• 6-second steps. Call time is rounded up to the next 6 seconds, not the next minute, then charged at the country's per-minute rate.
• Free if it doesn't connect. Unanswered and busy calls cost nothing, and so do calls of 10 seconds or less.
• Connection fee. Where a country shows "+ per call", that fee is added once to each call that's answered and lasts longer than 10 seconds.
• Prepaid credit. Top up £5, £10 or £20 by card, through Stripe. A call can last as long as your balance covers.
• See it before you call. The dialer shows the rate as soon as you type the country code, and the cost so far during the call.

Rates can change; the dialer always shows the current one. Mobiles and landlines in a country cost the same.
