How to dial Canada numbers
In the DanaTel dialer, type 1 (the + is already there), then the number as it's written in Canada, including any 0 at the start. Or paste a number that starts with +1 or 001. The dialer shows 🇨🇦 Canada and the price as soon as it recognises the code.

Calling Canada: questions
Can I call mobiles and landlines in Canada?
Yes. DanaTel calls mobile and landline numbers in Canada at the same per-minute rate.
Does the person in Canada need WhatsApp or the internet?
No. DanaTel connects to the ordinary phone network in Canada, so the call rings on their phone like a normal call. Only you need an internet connection.
Do I need to install an app?
No. DanaTel works in the web browser you already have, on your phone or computer. Sign in, type the number and press Call. On a phone you can add DanaTel to your home screen so it opens like an app, but you don't have to.
How much does it cost?
Each country has a price per minute, shown on our rates page and in the dialer before you call. Some countries also have a small fee per connected call, shown next to the rate. There's no sign-up fee, subscription or monthly charge: you buy credit and it's used as you call.
Which countries can I call?
Mobiles and landlines in Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Nigeria, Pakistan, Turkey, the UAE and the US. Each country's price is on our rates page, and the dialer shows it as you type the number.
Don't see your country? Type the number in the dialer and tap Request it, and we'll email you when we add it.
How is billing calculated?
Calls are billed in 6-second steps: the call length is rounded up to the next 6 seconds, not the next minute, then multiplied by the country's per-minute rate, plus its connection fee if it has one. For example, a call of 2 minutes 3 seconds is billed as 2.1 minutes. The dialer shows the cost so far while you talk.
